About Katie Adams Ceramics

Katie Adams has been working with clay since she started pottery class at the age of twelve. She went on to study at Camberwell College of Art in London where she experimented extensively with forms, subjects and techniques. In 2004 she started working as part of a collective in a thriving urban pottery in Clapham, which is where she found her current style.

Katie spent 5 years at Cockpit Arts where she established her London Skyline tableware range, drawing her treasured London into the surface of her subtly thrown pots. Here she also put her mug into manufacture creating the Ivory range.

In Spring 2010 Katie's journey took her south of the river to a magical new studio in Glasshill Street near Tate Modern. Here her rugged textural work develops, her teaching expands and a burgeoning New York project emerges.
