About Katie Adams Ceramics

Katie Adams has been working with clay since she started pottery class at the age of twelve.  She went on to study at Camberwell College of Art in London where she experimented extensively with forms, subjects and techniques. In 2004 she started working as part of a collective in a thriving urban pottery in Clapham, which is where she found her current style.

In 2005 Katie moved to her own studio at Cockpit Arts where she makes designer tableware in white stoneware clay. She throws pots with subtle lines then draws into the surface to express simple narratives. Katie’s work combines her two passions throwing and drawing.

Katie has just embraced the challenge of putting her mug into manufacture. Alongside this venture she has created a new product, the London Tea Towel. Together their launch continues this year in 2008.
