About Katie Adams Ceramics
Katie Adams has been working with clay since she started pottery class at the age of twelve. She went on to study at Camberwell College of Art in London where she experimented extensively with forms, subjects and techniques. In 2004 she started working as part of a collective in a thriving urban pottery in Clapham, which is where she found her current style.
In 2005 Katie moved to her own studio at Cockpit Arts where she makes designer tableware in white stoneware clay. She throws pots with subtle lines then draws into the surface to express simple narratives. Katie’s work combines her two passions throwing and drawing.
In 2008 Katie put her mug into manufacture along with her London Tea Towel, creating her Ivory range.
Katie's love of clay fuels her constant quest for experimenting in ways of making and seeing. Look out for shows in 2010.
